Silicon Valley artist-in-residence David Newman has been selected as one of the artists whose works will be featured in Autodesk’s The Digital Canvas Gallery Exhibition at Autodesk Headquarters at One Market Street in San Francisco.

The exhibit starts on May 11, 2011 and will be open to the public every Wednesday from 12-5pm.

Newman's works that appear in the show:

This collaborative exhibit will feature more than 150 pieces from more than 80 international artists using Autodesk® SketchBook® apps.

The show, curated by Wisconsin-based artist Susan Murtaugh for Autodesk, will include Newman's iPad portraits of innovators in Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area and Mexico – artist & photographer Vanessa Tiegs, Apple founder Steve Wozniak and artist Sal Navarro – whom Newman has painted from life using SketchBook Pro for iPad.
